NORDx – Inspirational tuesdays for Nordic Sound Members.

Corona and the many travel restrictions have unfortunately forced us to postpone our annual Nordic Sound conference. Instead, we now invite members to NORDx – a series of inspirational meetings where keynote speakers introduce us to new ideas and invite all to start a conversation about classical music in a digital world.

SAVE THE DATE FOR NORDx The meetings will take place on the first Tuesday of each month at 2 pm – 3.30 pm.

The next of these will be held on Tuesday, January 12th, 2 pm – 3.30 pm.

Previous meetings: Dec 1st. How to be visible in the digital marketplace? Maybe you have the content in place – but it’s still difficult to get hold of users? The competition for visibility and listeners’ time is fierce on digital media. Katie Ferguson will provide inspiration for how you can ensure your visibility and perhaps also rethink your content and presence so that more users join in.

Katie Ferguson is Director of Digital Strategy for classical at PIAS. She has worked in the independent classical sector for the last 15 years, primarily in digital. Katie has worked with independent labels, organisations, and artists on all aspects of digital strategy.

Nov 3rd 2020. Do we need to rethink what we record and how we promote classical music in order to engage audiences in the digital age? How can live classical music thrive on digital media?

Chaz Jenkins is Chief Commercial Officer at Chartmetric, the leading market analytics company in the field of music industry. In this session, he will highlight opportunities to reach audiences, both locally and globally. Chaz works extensively with labels, artist managers, concert promoters and digital services covering all genres of music, from classical and opera to hip-hop and K-pop. He previously founded the Grammy Award-winning LSO Live and Mariinsky labels as well as his artist management agency and was VP for International Marketing at Universal Music Group.
The session was the first one in a series of digital afternoon meetings NORDx, held by Nordic Sound. On the first Tuesday of each month, Nordic Sound invites members to an inspiring conversation with an insightful speaker to facilitate members’ digital strategy and activities.
